Changes in Direct Service to SAP Center

|

As Sharks fans gear up for the 2017-18 hockey season, VTA service to the Shark Tank is changing.

VTA will no longer offer direct service to or from Santa Teresa light rail station to San Fernando and Diridon Station for special events and games at SAP.  In June the VTA Board of Directors adopted a Special Events Policy for event venues to reimburse VTA for services requested beyond its regular service.  SAP has chosen not to request the additional service for Sharks games. There is still direct service to and from Winchester, although no extra trains post event.

Regular service to San Fernando (a block away from SAP) and Diridon (across the street from SAP) will run for all events, including Sharks games, and post-game service will be on a regular service schedule as well.

The following bus lines serve SAP Center and run for post event service: 22, 64, 181, 522, Hwy 17.

Keep in mind, VTA bus service stops directly across the street from SAP on Santa Clara Street and at Diridon Station.  Check out this page for more information, or call our Customer Service Center for help planning your trip at 408-321-2300.

Go Sharks!
