Fourth of July: Rotary Fireworks Downtown San Jose

|

With tens of thousands of people expected to view fireworks from San Jose’s Discovery Meadow, your best bet to beat the traffic is to go by VTA light rail.

The light rail schedule will operate on an enhanced Sunday/Holiday schedule in order to provide service to the fireworks show in Downtown San Jose. There will be two stations operating for service to the fireworks: Convention Center, for those taking the Mountain View - Winchester  line, and Children’s Discovery Museum, for those taking the Alum Rock - Santa Teresa line.

The fireworks are expected to begin at 9:30 and will last for approximately 25 minutes.  Following the show, VTA will have trains operating continually in all directions departing downtown San Jose. Passengers are encouraged to board at the same stations where they arrived. (Click on destination station for complete schedule)

Please note: Due to large crowds, the ticket vending machines at the Children’s Discovery Museum and Convention Center light rail stations will not be accessible after the fireworks.

Happy Independence Day!
