Heat Advisory and How to Stay Cool (June 23)

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory in Santa Clara County for Saturday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Temperatures are expected to reach into the upper 90’s in the northern section of the county and into the 100’s in the southern portion of the county.

During extreme heat incidents, residents should seek out air-conditioned spaces including shopping malls, community centers and public libraries.

VTA reminds passengers waiting for buses or trains to seek shade at the bus and light rail shelters. If you use a stop that does not have a shelter, consider bringing an umbrella or hat on your trip to protect yourself from the sun and a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
