Preparing for the Diridon Station of the Future

Collaborative planning and outreach efforts continue for the Diridon Integrated Station Concept Plan, with the third Community meeting happening on Monday, June 10.
Recognizing the future increase of transit services at Diridon Station, this joint planning effort by the California High-Speed Rail Authority, Caltrain, City of San José, and VTA (the Partner Agencies) aims to find best strategies to expand and redesign the station for existing and future transit services.
The Partner Agencies anticipate completing Phase 1 of the Concept Plan process in Fall 2019, which will produce a Draft Vision for the station, focusing on “big moves" such as platform and station location, rail alignment, and connectivity between transit modes.  The concept plan focuses on the function of the station rather than architectural or environmental review.
At the June 10th meeting, attendees will hear about three possible layouts for the future station, provide feedback to help inform the draft vision, and can ask questions and chat with project staff.
Future outreach efforts include a Spanish language meeting tentatively scheduled for June 24, an online survey tool and multiple dates offering information at various locations outside of Diridon Station.
