Second Annual Viva CalleSJ9/12/2016 2:54 PM |
Bike, walk, skate and have fun as you explore six miles of San Jose, car-free.
On Sunday, September 18, six miles of San Jose streets will be closed to all motorized vehicles between the hours of 10am and 3pm. The second annual Viva Calle SJ will allow people to bike, walk, and skate through the streets of scenic neighborhoods with no traffic!
As you can imagine, there will be several bus re-routes to accommodate for the closed streets, so here’s a transit map for the event. Take VTA to Viva CalleSJ!
VTA employees will take part in the event with a bike ride through the route starting at SAP center, and we’ll have information booths set up at the Willow Glen and Japantown activity hubs. On display at the Willow Glen activity hub will be a big, blue, articulated bus, like the ones you see on the 522 rapid line. Board the bus with your bike to experience the interior bike racks.
