See Something, Say Something with VTAlerts
05/01/2018

We know that not all super heroes wear capes. Our VTA riders are often the first to observe safety concerns or suspicious activities in and around our transit system.

So, what can riders do to help?

Download the free VTAlerts app on your smartphone (or iPad) available at the Apple Store or Google Play. Don’t have a smartphone? No problem! Text a tip to (408) 610-1440.

From the app, you will have the ability to call 911 or anonymously report safety, security, and other concerns directly to VTA.

VTA encourages you to report the following through VTAlerts:

  • Unattended bag or package
  • Medical emergency
  • Safety concern
  • Suspicious activity
  • Vandalism
  • Robbery or theft
  • Crime in progress

Safety and security is of the utmost importance at VTA. Together, we can make riding even safer and more comfortable for all!

The VTAlerts app is not intended to replace 911 emergency services. In the event of an actual emergency, please call 911 for immediate assistance.
