Share your ideas to improve Story Road and Keyes Street

|

How often do you often walk, bike, take transit or drive along, Story Road,  Keyes Street or Willow Street in San Jose? VTA wants your input in shaping future transportation improvements along this corridor.

VTA and the City of San Jose are beginning the Story-Keyes Corridor Complete Streets Study. The study will investigate ways to make this corridor safer and easier to use for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit riders while still serving drivers. We are currently evaluating the challenges, needs and opportunities for the study, which will be developed in 2017.

Please join us for a public forum on Thursday, November 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Leininger Center, Okayama Room, 1300 Senter Road, San Jose, CA 95112.

A new interactive project map and survey tool has also launched where participants can identify issues and improvements. Share your personal ideas and connect with other community members. The survey tool will be open for comments until December 9, 2016.
Examples of comments could include:
  • Safety of pedestrian crosswalks
  • Improvements to VTA bus stops
  • Bicycle lane improvements
  • Roadway maintenance issues or concerns
