ATU Represented Employees
ATU represented employees pay any premium in excess of the Kaiser Bay Area Family premium plus $100.00 under the CalPERS sponsored medical plan.
Administrative Employees pay a monthly contribution of any amount in excess of the Kaiser Bay Area Family rate under the CalPERS sponsored medical plan.
Medical Opt-Out - Full-time employees may opt-out and receive a taxable monthly payment if they have other coverage. Employees who have a spouse or registered domestic partner working at VTA are not eligible for Medical Opt-Out. Employees who qualify as dependent children under a VTA parent’s medical plan are also not eligible for the Opt-Out payment.
