Committee for Transit Accessibility (CTA)

This committee's members include one Board member, persons with disabilities, representatives of human service agencies within the county, and VTA's paratransit broker. The CTA advises the Board on bus and rail accessibility issues, paratransit service, public facilities and programs, and VTA's efforts to fully comply with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

VTA Board of Directors

The Board of Directors sets VTA policy. The Board has 17 members and 2 ex-officio members, all of whom are elected officials appointed to serve on our Board by the jurisdictions they represent. Fourteen Directors are city council members and three are County Supervisors. Twelve Directors serve as voting members and there are five Directors who serve as alternates. The ex-officio members are non-voting members and are Santa Clara County representatives to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC).
