Public Meetings

Public hearings, meetings and workshops are routinely held by VTA to present project information to the public and receive input from interested parties and stakeholders in the community.

VTA will be conducting public hearings for the Revised Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in early 2009. Check back for meeting dates and times.

Policy Advisory Board

In July 2008, the policy advisory boards for the Silicon Valley Rapid Transit Corridor and BART Warm Springs Extension merged to become the Silicon Valley Rapid Transit Corridor and BART Warm Springs Extension Policy Advisory Board (PAB). The PAB provides a forum for policy guidance and decision-making throughout project development. The PAB meets on a quarterly basis throughout the year.

VTA Board of Directors Meetings

The VTA Board of Directors consists of 12 elected city and county officials who are appointed by the jurisdictions they represent. The Board of Directors meet on the first Thursday of each month in the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors’ chambers. The BART to Silicon Valley Extension project is presented and discussed by the VTA Board of Directors.

City Partners

VTA currently and will continue to work closely with local jurisdictional partners throughout the planning, design and construction of the project. VTA and city staff provide ongoing project updates and briefings to city councils and city commissions.
