Dixon Landing Road

Trenching under Dixon Landing Road is necessary for future BART trains to travel underneath the roadway. At this location BART is a depressed in a trench and Dixon Landing Road has remained at ground level, separating BART trains from vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Grade separations are key components to a safe and efficient BART system, free from congestion.

Preliminary work started in early 2014, involving the relocation of utilities in Dixon Landing Road and within the rail corridor that crosses Dixon Landing Road. Periodic lane closures will continue to take place. Construction activities are scheduled to occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday with Sunday work as needed. Bicycle, pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained regularly throughout construction.
