Under federal and State law, the VTA Board is required to adopt a formal Relocation Plan which documents how VTA is planning for persons and businesses that are impacted by VTAs potential acquisition of property. The Relocation Plan provides information regarding VTAs Relocation Assistance Program that would be available to all eligible persons and businesses that would be affected by the Project. The public will have an opportunity to submit comments regarding the Draft Plan and responses will be incorporated into a final Relocation Plan that will be submitted to the VTA Board for review and consideration on November 4, 2010.

VTA conducted the BART Extension Economic Effects Evaluation in response to Federal Transit Administration and federal surface transportation legislation - Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient, Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) guidelines. Projects seeking federal funding are encouraged to include a projects economic development benefits as part of FTAs evaluation and ratings process.

This document is the final report of the Major Investment Study (MIS) Phase. The report provides an overview of the MIS purpose and scope and gives a description of the alternatives carried forward for detailed analysis.
