BRT Strategic Plan

The BRT Strategic Plan is VTA’s plan for enhancing transit service along major corridors in Santa Clara County. The plan studied six potential BRT corridors and ultimately recommended three for near-term implementation: Santa Clara-Alum Rock, El Camino and Stevens Creek. The BRT Strategic Plan explains what BRT is, introduces a branding strategy and describes the process for selecting the three corridors as well as the proposed operating and capital infrastructure components of the projects. The plan was adopted by the VTA Board of Directors in May 2009.
