GTFS Information

Welcome to VTA’s developer site. Our goal is to make it easier for developers and hobbyists to create interesting, fun and useful applications that promote the use of public transportation. To that end we now provide transit data in the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) format.

So take a minute to get familiar with our new site and start building that killer app that everybody wants!

New Items!

• Terms of Use – Be sure to read these before using the supplied GTFS (added June 2011)
• Transit Definitions – We have added a list of transit definitions to help developers understand our industry terms. (added June 2011)
• Apps – We have added already created applications. Send us an email at customer.service@vta.org if you have created an app that you would like added to the list.
• We’ve added notifications/alerts to our developers’ pages – click in the blue envelope to sign up and get alerts when this information changes.
