39th Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival 
September 11-12 Castro Street (Between El Camino Real and Evelyn Avenue in Mountain View)

Free admission One of America's top art festivals, huge throngs gather in Silicon Valley's epicenter for this vibrant multicultural celebration featuring 600 professional artists and craftmakers showing exceptional handcrafted wares, live music by big name cover bands, festive food and drink with premium wines, microbrews, mojitos and margaritas, an organic and green products showcase, health and wellness displays, home and garden exhibits, a special ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and action-packed Kids' Park with the Best Buy School of Rock Stage, a special NASA exhibit, entertainment, amusements and hands-on art.

Dance In Transit Light Rail Tour
September 18 – 19, 2010
Hourly Tours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On the weekend of September 18 – 19, 2010, the streets of downtown San Jose are being taken over by dancers. Dance In Transit, a site specific outdoor festival, was created to celebrate emerging dance artists from the South Bay, the downtown San Jose community and public transportation. The event will entail a 90 minute, full length modern dance concert at various locations in downtown San Jose that can be reached by VTA Light Rail.
The creators of Dance In Transit, Natalie Quilici and Claire Alexander have been working to bring free dance to public places for almost a year. The festival will include south bay artist’s RUGGED Dance Company, The Collaborative, Necrocosm and other well know south bay dance groups.
Dance In Transit Light Rail Route
Tours begin at San Carlos Street, between Market & Almaden in front of the Civic Auditorium. There will be hourly tours at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Please arrive 15 minutes before each tour begins.
1st dance performance will be in front of the Convention Center
Audience returns to Convention Center Light Rail Station and boards Santa Teresa northbound train at, deboarding at St. James Light Rail Station
2nd dance performance will be in front of the San Jose Courthouse
3rd dance performance will be in St. James Park
Audience returns to St. James Light Rail Station and boards Santa Teresa northbound train, deboarding at Paseo de San Antonio Light Rail Station
4th dance performance in front of the San Jose Repertory Theatre
5th dance performance at Plaza de Cesar Chavez

Spirit of Japantown Festival
October 2

Join the fun at the Spirit of Japantown Festival, located at San Jose’s Japantown, one of the last of its kind in the U.S. The festival features seven blocks of food, fun and free entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, food vendors, arts & crafts, a car exhibition, games and performances at the Kid’s Zone. San Jose Taiko will also perform and starting at 3:30p.m at the Kid’s Zone – the first J-town Idol Karaoke contest! The Hawaiian performance area and Beer & Sake Garden are also sure to be a big hit. And, you won’t want to miss out on the all day Anime screenings and an expanded Maid Café!
Japantown organizers are once again working with the City of San Jose, the San Jose Conservation Corp, schools, and other organizations in Japantown with the recycling program during the festival. Please help keep the festival Green.

The 5th Annual Rock ‘N’ Roll San Jose Half Marathon returns to the Bay Area on October 3 just in time for perfect fall running temperatures. Join over 12,000 runners and walkers for 13.1 miles of live regional bands and spirited cheer squads positioned along the way. You’ll also enjoy a free post-race concert with headliner Blues Traveler at the Finish Line Festival located at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in downtown San Jose.
Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose’s Health & Fitness Expo will kick-off the festivities at the San Jose Convention Center. Racers can pick up their race day packets and visit more than 80 exhibitors featuring free samples, interactive displays and exciting sweepstakes. Official Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose Brooks merchandise will be available for sale along with unbelievable buys in running shoes, sports apparel and more. In addition, experts will be on hand to talk health, nutrition, travel, investment and finance. Admission is free and open to the public.
