Kathleen King
VTA Alternate Board Member

Saratoga City Council Member Kathleen King serves as an alternate member on the VTA Board of Directors representing City Group 3 (the cities of Campbell, Cupertino, Monte Sereno, Saratoga and the Town of Los Gatos), having done so since 2007. She is also an alternate member of the Transit Planning and Operations Committee and serves as a member of VTA’s Policy Advisory Committee representing Saratoga, having done so since 2007. 

Alternate Member King is a member of the Saratoga City Council.  She was first elected in 2002 and again elected in 2006.  She served as the mayor during 2005.  

Ms. King’s prior public and community service includes serving as a board member of many organizations.  She has also been active in various local organizations.

Alternate Member King is a long-time resident of Saratoga.  She holds an A.A. in Business Administration from West Valley College and a Bachelor of Science and Commerce in Business from Santa Clara University.  She worked at Applied Materials for over 25 years before retiring.
