Nora Campos
VTA Alternate Board Member

San José City Council Member Nora Campos serves as an alternate member on the VTA Board of Directors representing City Group 1 (City of San José), having done so since 2005.  She also serves on VTA’s Congestion Management Program and Planning Committee and Downtown East Valley Policy Advisory Committee.

Member Campos is a member of the San José City Council representing Council District 5 (East San José).  She was first elected to the San José City Council in a special election in 2001 and was again elected in 2002 and 2006.

Member Campos began her work in the public sector first as a Community Relations Coordinator, then as Chief of Staff, for a San José City council member prior to running for elected office.

Member Campos is a life-long resident of  East San José.  She received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from San Francisco State University and worked as an Account Coordinator for Lancaster Group U.S.A.
