Nora Campos VTA Alternate Board Member
San José City Council Member Nora Campos serves as an alternate member on the VTA Board of Directors representing City Group 1 (City of San José). She serves as an alternate member on VTA’s Administration and Finance, Congestion Management Program and Planning, and Transit Planning and Operations committees. She is also on the Downtown/East Valley Policy Advisory Board and serves as that committee’s chairperson for 2010, as she did for 2009. She previously served on the VTA Board of Directors and the Congestion Management Program and Planning Committee from 2005 – 2008.
Alternate Member Campos serves on the San José City Council representing Council District 5 (East San José). She was first elected to the San José City Council in a special election in 2001, and was again elected in 2002 and 2006.
Alternate Member Campos began her work in the public sector, first as a Community Relations Coordinator, then as Chief of Staff for a San José City council member, prior to running for elected office.
Alternate Member Campos is a life-long resident of East San José. She received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from San Francisco State University and worked as an Account Coordinator for Lancaster Group U.S.A.
