Perry Woodward VTA Board Member
Gilroy City Council Member Perry Woodward serves on the VTA Board of Directors representing City Group 4 (the cities of Gilroy, Milpitas, and Morgan Hill), having been newly appointed in 2010. He also serves on the VTA’s Administration and Finance Committee, and is that committee’s vice chairperson for 2010. He previously served on VTA’s Policy Advisory Committee representing Gilroy from 2007–2009.
Member Woodward serves on the Gilroy City Council, having been elected in 2007.
Prior to holding elected office, his public service included six years as a judge pro tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court.
Member Woodward grew up in Gilroy, and is a fourth-generation Gilroyan. He earned a bachelor's degree from UC Santa Cruz in economics, and a law degree from Santa Clara University. He is a partner at Terra Law LLP in San Jose, handling real estate, business and high technology litigation. He is licensed as a commercial pilot, and enjoys flying his small private plane. Member Woodward is also an avid backpacker and fly fisherman, doing so regularly in the Sierras.
