CTA Workplan |
BACKGROUND:
At the September 13, 2006 Committee for Transit Accessibility (CTA) meeting, the CTA created a subcommittee to discuss the CTA workplan (see Attachment A). The subcommittee comprises members Gallo, Michels, and Tamez; chair Morrow; second vice-chair Stahl; and ex-officio member Heatley. On September 21, 2006, ex-officio member Katie Heatley, chair Aaron Morrow, and member Randy Tamez met and selected five preliminary items to be considered by the Committee. Chair Aaron Morrow would like members of the Committee to review the workplan and identify items that they would like to take action on at the December 13, 2006 meeting.
DISCUSSION:
The five preliminary items selected by the subcommittee are as follows:

Emergency Preparedness
Travel Training
Senior Transportation and Senior Programs
Transit Technology (Website, Dynamic Passenger Information, TransLink)

- Board of Directors’ Report is reported monthly
- Committee Staff Report is reported monthly
- Chairperson’s Report is reported monthly
- MTC Elderly/Disabled Report is reported bi-monthly and was scheduled to be reported at the August meeting but was deferred to the September meeting.
- Securement Task Force Report is reported monthly
- Ridership Report is reported as necessary
- Transit Operations Performance report is reported quarterly
- GM report is reported quarterly as scheduled: September 2006, January 2007 and May 2007.

- Community Bus was initially implemented July 2005 and was contracted as purchased service. Effective July 2006, the service became directly operated. Currently, Los Gatos is the only city participating in the community bus program.
