Additional Comments to Proposed Comprehensive Operations Analysis Service Changes |
BACKGROUND:
The Comprehensive Operations Analysis (COA) was presented to the Committee for Transit Accessibility on June 13, 2007. Members of the Committee provided comment about the proposed changes at that time. On Thursday, July 19, 2007, Chair, Randy Tamez presented the Committee for Transit Accessibility report to the Board’s Committee of the Whole. During his report, Mr. Tamez explained that several members of the CTA were concerned that the proposed changes will reduce bus service in the Almaden Valley and not provide enough service to support the new Kaiser Homestead medical campus.
DISCUSSION:
The Committee of the Whole has taken note of the concerns mentioned above. If the Committee would like to comment on other proposed service changes, please provide information about specific bus routes at the August 8, 2007 CTA meeting. The comments will be forwarded to the Transit Planning and Operations Committee.
