Vacancies

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) encourages Santa Clara County residents to fill several vacant positions and serve on VTA’s Committee for Transit Accessibility (CTA).

The CTA consists of up to 21 members who advise VTA’s board of directors on matters pertaining to accessibility to VTA buses, light rail vehicles and paratransit services. The VTA chairperson of the Board of Directors appoints CTA committee members. CTA members should plan to devote approximately eight hours per month to committee activities.

At CTA quarterly meetings members receive input from individuals with disabilities, social service agency representatives, and the general public. Visit the Advisory Committee section of our website to view the meeting schedule, the list of current members, and agendas from previous meetings.

Human Services Organization Category

Human Service Organization Rotating Membership Category Selected by the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. A primary requirement of the Human Services Organization Category is to designate a representative who is knowledgeable about, or have job duties related to, committee duties or transportation matters pertaining to persons with disabilities.

Individuals with Disabilities Category

Individuals with Disabilities Category Selected by the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
