Public Presentations
Robert Allen, Interested Citizen, referred a letter he sent to the PAB
October 2005. Mr. Allen suggested deferring the BART tunnel, construct BART at grade at the Western Pacific (WP) Railroad tracks south of Montague and continue over Highway 101 to the Alum Rock Station utilizing the existing WP alignment from Alum Rock to Tamien.

The Committee of the Whole received and filedthe Status Report on the Santa Clara Station Parking Structure Location and Historic Structures Relocation.
Deke Hunter, Hunter Properties, a Santa Clara County based company and current owners of the United Defense site, noted the 25-acre parcel is located at the southwest corner of Brokaw Road and Coleman Avenue. Mr. Hunter advised the PAB that Hunter Properties favors Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and suggests VTA consider Hunter Properties expertise’ in TOD development at this site.
Scott Shepard, FedEx, noted his company is pleased with the progress between FedEx and VTA in relocation negotiations.

Announcements
Member Haggerty stressed the importance of SVRTC-BART Extension to Milpitas, San Jose, and Santa Clara PAB meetings and the responsibility of the appointed members of the Committee to attend the scheduled meetings. Staff responded they would follow up with each jurisdiction to ensure appropriate representation.
