RECOMMENDATION:

Recognize: Ruth Orta, Guadalupe Operations; Rosemary Noble, River Oaks Administration, and Ida Rodriguez, Chaboya Maintenance; as our Employees of the Month for June 2003, and Dolly Grey as Supervisor of the Quarter.

BACKGROUND: 

Ruth Orta, Light Rail Operator at the Guadalupe Division has served VTA with excellence for nearly 20 years.  She has an outstanding safety record as indicated by her achievement of one million miles of safe driving.  Ruth recognizes her customers needs as her highest priority and enthusiastically helps passengers find their destinations and make bus connections effortlessly.  She is dedicated to her work, her coworkers, and her family. Congratulations to Ruth Orta, Operations Employee of the Month for June 2003!  

Rosemary Noble, Personnel Services Assistant in the Personnel Department at River Oaks, has served VTA for more than 4 years.   She is a conscientious worker who is dedicated to excellence in serving her internal customers.  Rosemarys role entails patiently explaining VTA policies, procedures, and functions as it relates to the Personnel Department.  She ensures that her customers have a clear understanding of VTA operational guidelines prior to leaving her counter.  She is proactive, efficient, and respectful to everyone. Congratulations to Rosemary Noble, Administration Employee of the Month for June 2003!

Ida Rodriguez, Service Mechanic at Chaboya Division, has served VTA for almost 17 years.  She sets high work standards for herself and consistently accomplishes her goals, through dedication, focus and a sense of personal responsibility.  Ida often offers her help to coworkers before she is asked, indicating her team spirit.  When assigned a task, Ida works to the best of her ability and is never satisfied with mediocre results.   She is an asset to her department and to VTA. Congratulations to Ida Rodriguez, Maintenance Employee of the Month for June 2003!

Dolly Grey, Senior Accountant in the Fiscal Revenue Services Department at River Oaks, has worked for VTA for more than 12 years.  She is a leader and a role model who is always willing to go the extra mile to assist others by ensuring that her immediate staff  possess the needed skills to be effective.  Dolly completes each job assignment with energy and dedication and is able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.  When her customers make unique requests, she takes it upon herself to confirm that their business needs are met.  Dolly is cheerful, friendly, and has an up-beat personality, ultimately improving her work environment. Congratulations to Dolly Grey, Supervisor of the Quarter 2003!
