Resolution for Senator Bruce McPherson |
RECOMMENDATION:
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Because of term limits, Senator McPherson will be retiring from the California State Legislature this year after 12 years of service, eight in the Senate and four in the Assembly. As a member of Santa Clara County’s legislative delegation, Senator McPherson demonstrated a strong commitment to improving transportation in the region. His expertise and leadership will be greatly missed.
It is fitting for the Board of Directors to honor Senator McPherson with a Resolution of Commendation for his years of outstanding service and his many achievements as a member of the Legislature.
ALTERNATIVES:
Because of his efforts in transportation during his legislative career, we believe Senator McPherson is deserving of this honor.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this recommendation.
