Denny Yau

enny Yau is in a rush. He stands at VTA’s Downtown Customer Service Center in San Jose with a packet of bus and light rail schedules he plans to have available for customers who request it at work. Yau was recently hired as Accounting Manager for Central Parking System. He was in the midst of cleaning up his office, located nearby, when he stumbled upon old VTA schedules and decided to update them.
Although Yau hails from Sacramento and actually moved to the Bay Area in February for his new position, he’s familiar with VTA.
“I’ve taken light rail to the airport and vice versa. It helps me save on parking,” said Yau.
As Yau acclimates himself to Silicon Valley, he realizes he is not alone with his thoughts about local public transportation. Even though he is in the world of providing parking for commuters, he understands that people still want to have VTA schedules. Yau may not be an avid VTA rider yet, but because he regularly uses the Airport Flyer, Bus Line 10, he knows it only takes him 15 minutes on light rail from home.
“At the moment, I don’t have any complaints. It’s very convenient and the only thing better would be if it actually dead-ended to the airport,” explained Yau.
