Why I Ride: I use VTA to get to school and around.
an JoseStateUniversity student Fatima Acevedo rides VTA daily. She is fairly content with VTA′s service and being a local native, she has familiarized herself with both bus and light rail over the years.
Acevedo takes Bus Line 72 regularly and her average commute lasts about an hour and a half. As a Bay Area resident, Acevedo has an easy-going charm about her and she draws people in with her warmth. Perhaps that's the reason why she welcomed the changes she′s seen with VTA′s New Bus Service. In her opinion, the modifications have lessened her wait time and given her choices regarding her schedule.
In order to navigate the valley, Acevedo uses a monthly pass. Her routine trips include excursions to entertainment hubs, grocery stores and popular shopping destinations around Silicon Valley. She knows San Jose and that is in part, due to her extensive travels on VTA.
“I′m happy and satisfied with the service,” said Acevedo. And with that happy-go-lucky attitude, Acevedo proceeds with the remainder of her day.
