Service Changes
Comments Sought on Service Changes
VTA is currently asking for public comment on two proposed route changes; one in July and the second in October. Comments must be received by Monday, March 26, 2012 and can be sent to customer.service@vta.org or by phoning (408) 321-2300.
A summary of the proposed changes is provided below:
July
Routes 11/65—The proposal is to combine these two community routes. Benefits would include Line 11 riders having a direct connection to Diridon Station and service frequency on Line 65 would improve, from hourly to every 45 minutes.
October
The proposal is to introduce Limited Stop Line 323, between De Anza College and Downtown San Jose. Combined with Line 23, it means 9 buses an hour would serve this busy corridor on weekdays, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost of the increased service would be secured by delaying planned weeknight, Saturday and Sunday improvements on Line 522 that originally had been scheduled for July 2012.
