More Service on Light Rail and Express Bus 180 for New Years Eve Celebrants

San Jose, Calif. – Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will provide FREE bus and light rail service from 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, New Year’s Eve, through 3:59 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, New Year’s Day. Be safe and let VTA take you to your destination-FREE on New Year’s Eve. On Tuesday, New Year’s Day, VTA will run on Sunday/Holiday service.

- VTA administration offices at 3331 North First Street will be closed Tuesday, January 1, 2008.
- VTA’s Downtown Customer Service Center at 2 North First Street will be open on Monday, December 31, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and closed on New Year’s Day.
- VTA Customer Service Representatives will be available from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2007 and closed on New Year’s Day. The Call Center will reopen Wednesday, Jan 2, 2008 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Customers may contact VTA’s Customer Service Center at (408) 321-2300, TDD for the hearing impaired (408) 321-2330, to access route and schedule information with a touch-tone telephone via an interactive voice response system (IVR) and receive current VTA schedules in English and Spanish.
