Share preliminary findings from investigation based on:

  • Information obtained from review of train data pack (video)
  • Physical evidence and inspections at derailment site
  • Information from involved parties (interviews ongoing)

The investigation of the March 21, 2008, derailment of a southbound VTA light rail train is ongoing. This month’s VTA Board of Directors Meeting will include a report from VTA’s General Manager Michael Burns on current information related to the investigation.
