Ride VTA Light Rail or Bus to the San José Mariachi and Latin Music Festival

San José, Calif. – Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) can take residents to enjoy one of the most popular venues in California, the San José Mariachi and Latin Music Festival beginning on September 7, 2008 through September 28, 2008.
The first event to kick-off the Mariachi Festival will be at the HP Pavilion on Sunday September 7, 2008. Take VTA Bus Lines 22, 63, 64, 66, 68, 180, Highway 17 Express, VTA Light Rail, or Caltrain to the HP Pavilion. Attendees will enjoy a Rodeo with San José natives and Grammy Award Winners, Los Tigres del Norte. Also performing will be the popular Mexican stars, Pepe Aguilar and El Chapo de Sinaloa.
“The Mariachi Festival is part of the artistic heart and soul that makes San José such a great place to call home,” said San José Councilmember and VTA Board member, Nora Campos.
VTA is proud to partner with the Mexican Heritage Corporation for the San José Mariachi & Latin Music Festival for the second year. The festival closes with an outdoor event on Sunday, September 28, featuring music, arts, cultural activities and food in a celebration of Mexican heritage and cuisine.
