The committee's members include persons with disabilities, representatives of human service agencies within the county, one board member and VTA's paratransit broker. The CTA advises the Board on bus and light rail accessibility issues, paratransit service, public facilities and programs, and VTA's efforts to fully comply with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

VTA formed the CTA to facilitate communications and receive input from interested individuals with disabilities and from human service agencies. The committee iscomposed of 21 members, who are appointed by the Board of Directors. Regular meetings of the committee are held on a quarterly basis.

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is an independent special district that provides sustainable, accessible, community-focused transportation options that are innovative, environmentally responsible, and promote the vitality of our region. VTA is responsible for bus, light rail and paratransit operations and also serves as the county’s congestion management agency.
