VTA Service Schedule for Thanksgiving Holiday

Bus Reroutes in Downtown San Jose during Turkey Trot

San Jose, CA – The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will operateholiday service on Thursday, November 25, 2010 and modified weekday service on Friday, November 26, 2010 as follows:

Express Bus 180  Sunday/Holiday Schedule
Other Express Bus/Light Rail, Limited Stop, Rapid 522  No Service
Light Rail Shuttles (IBM/Hitachi, DASH) No Service
ACE Train/Shuttles   No Service
Dumbarton Express  No Service
Highway 17, Monterey-San Jose Express  Sunday/Holiday Schedule

During the Annual Silicon Valley Turkey Trot occurring in downtown San Jose and on portions of the Alameda near HP Pavilion, VTA Bus Lines 22 and 68 will be rerouted between 4 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. VTA Bus Lines 23, 63, 64, 66, 72, 73, 82, 180 and the Monterey-San Jose Express will be rerouted between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. Any service impacts to light rail should be minimal in the downtown area and no service delays are expected north and south of the race.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, VTA’s administration offices at 3331 North First Street in San Jose will be closed both days. VTA’s Downtown Customer Service Center at 2 North First Street will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. It will reopen Friday, November 26, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. VTA Customer Service Call Center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The Call Center will reopen Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
