4 Valley Transportation Plan (VTP) Public Meetings to be Held in April throughout Santa Clara County
Meetings provide opportunities for public to review transportation proposals and provide comments

WHO: Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and the general public.
WHAT: As the Congestion Management Agency for Santa Clara County, VTA is responsible for preparing and adopting the countywide transportation plan - Valley Transportation Plan (VTP). The VTP outlines transportation programs and investments for Santa Clara County over a 25 year period. The VTP is updated every four years, aligning with updates to the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) prepared by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The last update, VTP 2035, was adopted by the VTA Board in 2009.
Transportation projects to be considered in VTP 2040 are bundled within program areas including Transit, Highways, Expressways, Local Streets and County Roads, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Bicycle projects.
The public is invited to attend these meetings to review the transportation proposals and provide comments.
WHEN/WHERE: There are 4 public meetings scheduled throughout Santa Clara County at the following locations in April:
Thursday, April 7, 2011, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday, April 11, 2011, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Individuals who require language translation, American Sign Language, or documents in accessible formats are requested to contact VTA Community Outreach at 408-321-7575 or 408-321-2330 TTY at least 5 business days before the meeting. All meeting facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities.
