Go Green with VTA on Black Friday

Avoid Parking Woes on Busiest Shopping Day of the Year by Using Public Transportation

San José, Calif. – Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, officially kicks off the holiday shopping season and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is urging holiday shoppers to use VTA bus and light rail to get to their destinations. Not only can people enjoy the day taking VTA and avoiding the hassles of finding parking, riders can also reduce their carbon footprint. 

 “Taking VTA bus and light rail is a great green option that generates cost savings and lowers parking stress,” said VTA General Manager Michael T. Burns.     

Navigating the local shopping hot spots is easy with VTA’s bus and light rail system. Below is a list of favorite shopping destinations and the scheduled VTA routes and lines available.
