Draft Environmental Assessment/Supplemental Environmental Impact Report
VTA and the Federal Transit Administration are planning to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA)/Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for a proposed 1.7 mile extension of the Mountain View to Winchester light rail line.
The Vasona Junction Project would extend light rail from the existing Winchester Station, continuing to a new Hacienda station, and terminating at a new Vasona Junction Station in the Town of Los Gatos. The extension would be within VTA’s right of way adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad.
Written comments on the scope of the EA/SEIR should be submitted via mail, email, fax or the project website, with attention to Ann Calnan, by Friday, January 29, 2010 before 5 p.m.
