VTA to Provide Regular Bus Service During Potential BART Strike

Temporary relocation of VTA bus stop at Fremont BART station
San Jose, Calif. — The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will provide regular bus service at the Fremont BART station if there is a BART strike this Monday. There is a slight service change to accommodate a temporary bus stop for express lines 120, 140, 180, 181.
For the safety and convenience of passengers, the temporary bus stop is located on Walnut St. (a block away from the permanent bus stop), across the street from the BART entrance driveway.
Here are the details for passengers to access the temporary bus stop: For the Express 120, 140, 180, 181: From the Civic Center Dr., the bus stop is on the right hand side on Walnut St., across from the BART entrance driveway.
At the Fremont BART station, there will be signs directing VTA passengers to the temporary bus stop. During the morning commute hours, VTA staff will also be available on site to guide passengers to the temporary bus stop.
Beginning today, notices will be distributed to passengers who use the 120, 140, 180, 181 bus lines to help VTA riders plan for a possible BART strike. The latest information about VTA affected routes are on the VTA web site, the customer service line, and distributed to email subscribers.
