Montague Light Rail Station Two-Month Closure Effective: May 22, 2017

What:

The Montague Light Rail Station in Milpitas will be completely closed for approximately two months to make modifications to the station and to accommodate the installation of an elevator stop for the newly constructed pedestrian over crossing above Capitol Avenue to the future Milpitas BART Station.

During the station closure, a shuttle will be provided between Capitol Ave. near the Montague Light Rail Station and Great Mall Transit Center. The location of the shuttle stops and route are on the map below.

When:

Start Time: May 22, 2017

Duration: Approximately Two Months

Why:

The closure will allow for station modifications and to accommodate the installation of an elevator stop for the newly constructed pedestrian over crossing above Capitol Avenue to the future Milpitas BART Station.

Rider Impacts:

There will be no public access to the Montague Light Rail Station during construction.

During the station closure, a shuttle will be provided between Capitol Avenue near the Montague Light Rail Station and Great Mall Transit Center. The location of the shuttle stops and route are on the map below.

Scheduled hours of operation for the shuttle:

Weekdays from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Weekends from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Shuttle will run:

Every 15 minutes before 8:30 p.m.
Every 30 minutes after 8:30 p.m.

Directional information to shuttle stops will be provided through rider notices, station platform signs, social media and VTA Ambassadors.
