The following service changes will take effect on Monday, April 10, 2017.
MAJOR SERVICE CHANGES:
Light Rail: Minor weekday and weekend schedule changes to all three light rail lines will be made to coordinate with the new weekday Caltrain schedule that will also become effective on April 10.
Light Rail: Almaden to Ohlone/Chynoweth
Light Rail: Santa Teresa to Alum Rock
Light Rail: Mountain View to Winchester
Lines 22/522: On weekdays, the frequency for Line 522 will improve from 15 to 12 minutes, while the frequency for Line 22 will be changed from 12 to 15 minutes. Line 522 will no longer stop at these locations: The Alameda & Julian, Santa Clara & Almaden Blvd, Alum Rock & Sunset, and Capitol & Alum Rock. Minor weekend changes will also be made to both Lines 22 and 522.
OTHER SERVICE CHANGES:
The following bus lines will have weekday and/or weekend schedule changes to better coordinate with new light rail and/or Caltrain schedules: 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 25, 26, 27, 32, 35, 37, 40, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 52, 54, 55, 57, 58, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 68, 71, 72, 73, 77, 82, 121, 168, 180, 181, 200, 201 (DASH), 304, 321, 323, 328 & 330.
Line 31: The 8:39 p.m. southbound and 9:02 p.m. northbound trips will be moved 13 minutes later to better coordinate with Evergreen Valley College class times.
Line 42: Major weekday schedule changes will be made to better coordinate with Evergreen Valley College class times.
Line 81: The 4:59 p.m. westbound weekday trip will operate through Truman & Bryant. Major weekday and minor Saturday schedule changes will be made to coordinate with the new light rail and Caltrain schedules.
Line 89: Major schedule changes will be made in conjunction with the new Caltrain schedule. Additional a.m. trips will be added since more trains will be stopping at California Avenue, and service to Hillview & Arastradero will be extended to 10 a.m.
Line 185: Minor routing changes will be made in the Mountain View area to speed up the service. The timepoint at Middlefield & Logue will be moved to the Middlefield Light Rail Station. Minor schedule changes will be made.
NEW PAPER SCHEDULES
On April 10th, new schedules can be found on board VTA buses and light rail as well as:
- VTA Downtown Customer Service Center, located at 55A. West Santa Clara Street, San Jose.
The hours are Mon. - Fri., 9 am to 6 pm
- VTA Marketing and Customer Service, located at 3331 N. First Street at River Oaks, San Jose. The location is in the lobby of Building B.
The hours are Mon. - Fri., 8 am to 4:30 pm
