Light Rail Service Impacts, 4/21-4/22
Due to scheduled track repairs near Old Ironsides station on Tasman Drive, light rail service will be impacted on April 21-22, 2018.
Bus bridge between Lockheed Martin and Tasman, serving all light rail stations in between.
Light Rail Rider Impacts: Downtown Mountain View - Winchester
Northbound: Light rail service will operate between Winchester and Tasman stations. Passengers traveling beyond this point will transfer to a bus bridge at Tasman and First Street to Lockheed Martin and reconnect with light rail toward Downtown Mountain View to your destination
Southbound: Light rail service will operate between Downtown Mountain View and Lockheed Martin stations. Passengers traveling to Tasman and south will take the bus bridge as far as Tasman station and reconnect with light rail toward Winchester or Santa Teresa to your destination.
Light Rail Rider Impacts: Santa Teresa – Alum Rock
Santa Teresa to Alum Rock light rail service will be operating on a regular schedule. Ambassadors will be stationed at the Lockheed Martin and Tasman stations, along with roving ambassadors for stations in between.
Northbound: Light rail service will operate between Santa Teresa and Tasman. Passengers transferring at Tasman toward Downtown Mountain View will take the bus bridge as far as Lockheed Martin stations and reconnect with light rail toward Downtown Mountain View to your destination.
Southbound: Light rail service will operate from Alum Rock to Santa Teresa without interruptions. Passengers transferring toward Downtown Mountain View will take the bus bridge at Tasman as far as Lockheed Martin stations and reconnect with light rail toward Downtown Mountain View to your destination.
Closed stations served by the bus bridge: Champion, Lick Mill, Great America, Old Ironsides, Reamwood, Vienna, Fair Oaks, Crossman, and Borregas.
VTA will be replacing track near Old Ironsides station
which will require a light rail shutdown between the Lockheed Martin and Tasman stations. Around-the-clock construction begins Friday, April 20 at 11:00 PM through Monday, April 21 at 4:00 AM. Weather, scheduling, and conditions permitting.
Rail construction will involve noise, lights, and construction vehicles driving forward and in reverse with accompanying beeping sound required for safety.
