Geotechnical boring for utility investigations will occur along Capitol Avenue, Capitol Expressway, and adjacent side streets. Locations include on and off-street, in street curbs/gutters, parking spaces, sidewalks, and in traffic lanes.
The truck and drilling equipment will generate ambient level noise equivalent to a lawnmower. Each location will take about two hours and includes the restoration of the area.
North and southbound Capitol Avenue/Capitol Expressway between Alum Rock Avenue and Eastridge Loop Road. Side streets adjacent to Capitol Avenue/Capitol Expressway: Excalibur Drive, Story Road, Ocala Road, Cunningham Avenue, and Tully Road.
May 6, 2019. It will take up to two weeks to investigate 32 locations.
General Work Hours
7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
One lane may be closed as needed on Capitol Expressway at the work area. Work area will be restored once work is complete.
