Notice of Intent to Pre-Qualify Public Works Construction Contractors and Subcontractors
Pre-qualification will apply to all bidders as prime contractors
and all subcontractors specified in the contract documents.
The program
will utilize the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Model
Program, which is available on-line and can be downloaded by visiting
the DIR website at www.dir.ca.gov.
Notices Requesting Pre-Qualification of Bidders for specific projects
will be issued as projects are scheduled for advertisement, however,
Contractors and Subcontractors are encouraged to review the program
and become familiar with it in advance of the request for submittal
of pre-qualifications. VTA is working closely with the South Bay
Labor Council, Association of General Contractors, Building Trades
Council and the Engineering and Utility Contractors Association
on the implementation of this program to ensure its success for
VTA as well as our Contractor community, and we look forward to
your cooperation and partnership.
