HELP: How do I register with the online VTA Procurement System?
In order to subscribe to receive email from VTA Procurement, subscribe to solicitations and download documents, it is necessary to register with the online VTA Procurement System.
Registration is free, and does not commit the individual or business regisering to any activity in regards to solicitations or VTA
- Go to the Registration page: www.vta.org/procurement/account/registration_form.html
- Enter a VTA login name - this is the name you will use to login to the system
- The name can be only include letters and numbers - no spaces or special characters
- The name must be at least four characters long
- The name is case-sensitive (so: "vtacamm" is different from "VTAcamm")
HELP: Why can't I use my old VTA login id? this window
- Enter a password - along with your login name, you will need this to access the system
- Just like the login name, this is case-sensitive, needs at least four characters, and can include only letters and/or numbers
- Fill in the contact information for you or your business
- Use the email address that you want to be used for all VTA Procurement email
- This email address is the primary source of contact between VTA and registered vendors, so be sure it is accurate and that it is checked regularly
- Fill in the other information as needed
- All fields are required, except for the second address line and the fax number
- At this point, the online VTA Procurement System is set up to work with vendors in the United States and Canada. Vendors from other countries should contact a VTA Procurement Administrator for information on solicitations.
- Look over the Interest Categories, and check the specific categories that describe solicitations you might be interested in subscribing to
- These categories are only used for sending bulk email announcing new solicitations to vendors who may be interested in them
- Check as many or as few caegories as you wish
- Unless your areas of interest do not fit under any other listing, it is recommended that you do not check the "miscellaneous" or "other" categories. Doing so may result in your receiving more email than you would like about solicitations in which you have no interest.
- Checking these categories is optional. To completely opt out of the bulk mail notification system, scroll to the bottom of the list and select "No" where it asks if you want to receive email from VTA announcing new solicitations.
- You can change any selection you make here at any time, even opting out or in to the system
- When all the information is entered and your interest areas checked, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Submit Registration" button.
- You should receive a screen confirming that your registration request has been received.
- If you do not, there may be a problem with the entered information.
- Look for text in the form indicating fields that are not complete or in error
- This text begins "Please check the following..." and appears immediately above the problem field.
- Correct the information and click the submit button again
After submitting the registration form, your email address must be confirmed before your registration will be activated
- Check the email for the account you entered in your VTA registration. You should receive a verification email within minutes of submitting the form.
- If more than 30 minutes passes and you still have not recieved the email, there may have been an error with the email address you entered.
- You can check and correct your email information by going to the Edit Membership Information page (www.vta.org/procurement/account/edit_user.html) and logging in with your ID and password.
- If the email address is incorrect, enter the correct one in the box marked "Change Email" and click the "Change Email Address" button.
- If your email address is correct, contact a VTA Procurement Administrator for help
- When you have recieved the confirmation/verification email, follow the directions to verify your email address
