HELP: How do I get support documents?

All solicitations include support documents. These include the full IFB or RFP document, including any needed forms, general instructions and specific requirements of the bid and the project, addenda to the original document as needed, and any other appropriate materials. Most of the time these documents are available for download by any registered vendor who has subscribed to the solicitation.

To view a list of documents for a solicitation and download any you need:

  1. Locate the solicitation in the Active Solicitations list.
  2. Click on the "Details & Downloads" link for that solicitation
    • If you have not logged in to the system, you will be asked to login.
    • If you have not yet subscribed, you will first be asked to subscribe.
    • If you have not registered with VTA Procurement, you will be asked to do so.

The Details & Downloads page contains the basic information for the solicitation, as well as a list of the support documents for the solicitation.

  3. To view the list of documents, scroll down to the section called "Document Downloads."
  4. Each document will be listed by name, and include the date it was uploaded to the system, the date you last downloaded it ("never" if you have not yet downloaded it), a link to download it, and a brief description of the file.
  5. Click on the link next to the "Download File:" heading to download the file
    • Depending on how your browser is configured, it may be necessary to right-click (control-click, or "click and hold" for Mac users) on the file link and select "Save Target..." or "Save Link..."
    • If you are prompted for a location to save the file, carefully navigate to a location on you local hard drive where you will be able to find the file. Otherwise, the file will be automatically downloaded into the default location set in your browser (often "My Documents" on Windows computers).
  6. The files will be downloaded as zip-compressed archives (.zip) to the default download location specified in your browser preferences, or to the location you specified when prompted in the download process.
