QUESTION: Why do I need to verify receipt of an email?

Some types of email from the VTA Procurement system require or request that you confirm receipt of the email. This allows the system to verify important information about your account (specifically, your email address), and also allows Solicitation Administrators to keep track of the activity regarding their solicitations. While we would like all vendors to confirm all emails that request confirmation, the only email that must be confirmed is the one sent to verify your email address when you initially register.
