Vasona Light Rail Extension Project
Environmental Process
More Information

Project Overview
The Vasona Light Rail Project is a 1.6-mile extension of the existing Mountain View to Winchester line.
The original Vasona Corridor LRT Project was proposed to extend from downtown San Jose through the City of Campbell to the Town of Los Gatos with nine new stations and four Park & Ride lots. The first portion of the project was completed in 2005 and extended light rail to the Winchester Station in Campbell.
The 1.6-mile extension would complete the originally planned project. The extension would begin at the existing Winchester Station in Campbell and continue within the VTA right-of-way to Los Gatos. The project would be implemented in two phases based on funding and projected ridership.
