Regional Business Diversity Programs

Welcome to Regional Business Diversity Programs which includes the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for federally funded projects, the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program for state funded projects, Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) and the Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Program for locally funded projects. Through these diversity programs the County of Santa Clara will assist certified businesses seeking construction, purchasing and professional services contracts.

To ensure non-discrimination in the award and administration of contracts and to create a level of playing field on which miniority-, women-, disabled veteran-, and LGBT-owned businesses can fairly compete for contracting opportunities in Santa Clara County region.

The Regional Business Diversity Program mission is to increase participation and ensure that women-, minority-, disabled veteran-, and LGBT-owned businesses are afforded an equal opportunity to compete for all contracts and subcontracts.

Program initiatives include:
- Increase participation in SBE, DBE, MBE, WBE, DVBE, and LGBTE;
- One Stop Certification;
- Provide a centralized resource for small businesses with website information and newsletter;
- Provide networking opportunities and training / workshop for the Santa Clara County region.
