We at VTA take pride in helping make Santa Clara Valley a great place to live. By providing safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services, we not only make it easier for people to get around, but also help reduce traffic congestion and air pollution.

However, Santa Clara County continues to grow in population and jobs, leading to even higher levels of traffic congestion. As traffic worsens, those travelling throughout the county will increasingly look to us to provide effective transportation solutions.

Some of these solutions – such as increasing bus and light rail service – will be based on services we already provide. Others – such as designing and building highways or developing a countywide bicycle commuter network – will be new.

Our Strategic Plan addresses the role we will play in providing those solutions, not just now, but over the next several years. The Strategic Plan includes our vision, mission, and goals, and will serve as the map to guide us into the 21^st century.
