The old Route 63 and old Route 64 have been combined into two variants: Route 64A and 64B.

North and East of Downtown San Jose Routes 64A and 64B overlap. South of Downtown San Jose, the routes split to serve Almaden Valley and Ohlone-Chynoweth Station. Route 64A replaces the discontinued Almaden Spur Light Rail line.

North and East of Downtown San Jose, the routes operate at 15 minute frequency. South of Downtown San Jose, the routes operate at 30 minute frequency. On weekends, the routes operate every 30 minutes in the overlapping segment and every 60 minutes in the 64A and 64B branches.
