Are you excited to ride the new BART service in Santa Clara County?

We're connecting Santa Clara County to the Bay Area with this new transit service - making traveling to new places easy and fast.  While we've all been sheltering in place, we are dreaming of where we can take this new service - show us where you'd like to go!

We’re inviting students across Santa Clara County to commemorate the historical opening of VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension by participating in an art contest.

The Berryessa/North San Jose and Milpitas BART stations are planned to open on June 13th, 2020.  Every day, thousands of people will walk, bike, and take buses and light rail to access the regional rail system.  We are taking vehicles off the road, cleaning up the environment and making it easier for everyone to get around the Bay!

After sheltering in place this spring, we know a lot of kids are ready to get out and enjoy traveling in the Bay Area, and we're hoping families will take trips using Santa Clara County's new BART service.

What are you excited to visit?

Students that live within Santa Clara County can submit their own artwork that shows where they want go once the new BART service begins. We’ll select two entries and the winning art will be used for a commemorative opening day poster.

Entries will be displayed at VTA’s Customer Service Center and at the Berryessa and Milpitas Transit Centers. The two winning poster artists will receive a $50 Clipper Card and a $50 gift card!
